AX1 Films’ Japanese film, TONY TAKITANI, opened exclusively at the Curzon Soho cinema in London’s West End, taking an impressive £4,760 ($8,377) from just 5 shows over the 3 day opening weekend commencing Friday 21st April - the highest screen average of any film in release anywhere in the UK.

The opening night screening was followed by a special Q &A session with the director, Jun Ichikawa, who had made the trip from Tokyo to support the release of the film.

‘Tony Takitani’ will continue to play in London’s West End until the middle of May before widening to include play dates in all major towns and cities across the UK and Ireland.
